Anyone who's tried to find those same collectables now at those same second had stores knows it damn near impossible. Now you find anything that may be worth more than a few bucks behind glass, under lock and key. Cheap watches that you can buy online for$6 are going for $35. Old comics, old sports cards; they all have a piece of paper with them showing what you would have to pay if you wanted that item on Ebay. It's tough to stay ahead of the curve.
Well, here's one that they may have overlooked. While on a hunt this weekend, I started flipping through the biographies. I was looking for local writers, hoping to find an autographed copy. Well lo and behold, within 10 minutes I came upon 2 signed first editions. First, Pierre Berton's autograph in a 25 year old book. Within minutes an autographed copy of a Reverand Schuler book. These books are now at an auction, I'll let you know how I did on them. So, it's not impossible to find stuff, you just have to think outside the box. Let me know where and when you plan to scour the bookshelves. I want to get there first.
