Charlie Chaplin, Gloria Swanson, Douglas Fairbanks, Rudolph Valentino, Lon Chaney, Greta Garbo. You may have heard of some of these icons of American film. I'm starting to catalogue a huge collection of turn of the century stills and signed photos from the beginning of the "talkie film" era. Some of the identifiable stars are incredible. There are singles from some of the first movies ever made such as "Birth of a Nation". Comedy, drama, epics such as "Ben Hur", they're all here. It's like handling little pieces of history. I have sorted them into identifiable and unknown. I'll post some of the unknown and see if you can help me identify them. If anyone knows of a good home for these museum pieces, please let me know. They are being consigned by a proud owner.
