![]() You know you love them. Next to peanuts is there anything more baseball than crackerjacks? Well, maybe a beer and a hotdog but the adults tend to frown at you when you load up your 8 year old with an armful of brewskies. But I digress...Crackerjacks have been around for a hundred years. Long before the little plastic toys that we get now, the prize used to be baseball cards. The complete set of 176 cards from the 1915 season which was given away exclusively in the famous blue and red box is now worth $157,000 when last sold at an auction in 2008. There are only 2 or 3 full sets known to exist and even the singles of Christy Mathewson, Shoeless Joe Jackson and the immortal and miserable Ty Cobb sell for thousands each. So if your great grandpa was a hoarder, now might be the time to start going through those ancient boxes. You may be able to afford to "take me out to the ballgame"..

just to let you know they no longer have "toys" in them:( we bought some for nostalgic reasons and were disappointed when we dug to the bottom only to come out with a sticker. An elephant sticker to put on a light switch to remind you to turn it off. What a disapointment. lol
